Residential Remodeling Project Manager

Build More Than Spaces. Build a Legacy.

At Upstream Home, every home tells a story--and every detail matters. We're Lake Zurich's go-to remodeling team for kitchens, basements, and bathrooms, and we've built our reputation on quality, trust, and craftsmanship. If you're a hands-on leader who loves turning plans into beautiful, lasting spaces, we'd love to meet you.

The Role

We're looking for a Project Manager who can guide residential remodeling projects from start to finish--while staying close to the work itself. This is ideal for a skilled carpenter or site leader ready to manage budgets, schedules, and client relationships while still rolling up their sleeves when needed. You'll collaborate with the owner, crews, and clients to keep every project on track, on budget, and built to the highest standard. The main focus of this role will be hands-on field work and tool-based leadership, ensuring close involvement in day-to-day site operations.

What You'll Do

  • Plan and manage multiple remodeling projects from kickoff to completion
  • Coordinate crews, subcontractors, materials, and schedules
  • Track budgets, change orders, and project timelines
  • Maintain quality control and enforce safety practices
  • Read and interpret plans, drawings, and scopes of work
  • Communicate clearly with homeowners, suppliers, and team members
  • Step in with hands-on support when the job requires it

What You Bring

  • Strong residential remodeling experience (carpentry skills a plus)
  • 5+ years in construction project management or site supervision
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and client expectations
  • Reliable vehicle and basic tool set
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work across sites within 45-50 minutes of Lake Zurich, IL

Compensation & Benefits

  • Full-time role with a salary of $80,000-$120,000, based on experience
  • Performance incentives
  • Growth opportunities into higher leadership roles
  • Supportive, values-driven team culture
